Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist carpenters and masons with material installation and structural assembly
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, excavators) with proper certification
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety standards
- Read blueprints and technical schematics to implement construction plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks on completed work and identify potential issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience in commercial projects
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
