Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up safety barriers
- Load/unload materials using forklifts, cranes, and manual lifting techniques
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with material handling and basic installations
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read basic blueprints and execute verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Participate in emergency response drills and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Greater Boston
- Ability to work in all weather conditions with flexible scheduling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
