Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools under supervision, including forklifts, skid steers, and power saws.
- Assisting Trades: Support skilled tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by providing necessary labor and support.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Measurements: Perform basic measurements and cut materials to size as directed by the foreman.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required. We provide on-the-job training for qualified candidates.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift. Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure are highly desirable.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
