Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site efficiently and safely.
- Site Preparation: Assist in digging trenches, setting forms, and preparing surfaces for concrete pouring or other construction activities.
- Machinery & Tools: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (such as forklifts or jackhammers) under the direct supervision of experienced crew members.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA safety regulations and site-specific protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to support various phases of construction.
- Blueprint Assistance: Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and drawings to understand project requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a construction laborer or in a general labor role is preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of performing strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with foremen and team members; must be punctual and reliable.
- Safety Awareness: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and a proactive attitude toward workplace safety.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
