Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and material handling at construction sites
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled trades with site preparation and cleanup duties
- Read blueprints and follow precise project specifications
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols
- Transport equipment and materials using heavy machinery (forklifts, etc.)
- Collaborate with team members to meet tight project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy
- Valid Illinois Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
