Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear, clean, and prepare construction sites by removing debris, dirt, and other materials to ensure a safe work environment.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery and equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, and jackhammers, under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using trucks, forklifts, and hand tools efficiently.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand basic blueprints, schematics, and site plans to follow project specifications.
- Concrete & Framing: Assist with mixing concrete, setting forms, and performing basic framing and drywall installation tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company policies at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit with the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and push heavy objects for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and their proper use is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and ready to work in various weather conditions.
