Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks, including carpentry, concrete pouring, and general site preparation.
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform general cleanup of job sites, including removing debris and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials as directed by supervisors or foremen.
- Answer calls and communicate effectively with the site foreman regarding daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to Learn: Enthusiasm to work hard and learn new construction skills on the job.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and pay attention to safety details.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends and occasional overtime.
- Valid ID: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
