Responsibilities
- Execute physical labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) on active construction sites
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise implementation of construction plans
- Operate hand/power tools and machinery with proper certification where required
- Perform site cleanup and waste management to maintain organized work areas
- Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions to site supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience or willingness to obtain OSHA-10 certification
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform tasks in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with power tools (drills, saws, jackhammers) preferred
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for early morning call times
