Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and store them in designated areas.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools under supervision to assist skilled tradespeople.
- Assembly: Help assemble and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and forms for concrete pouring.
- Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and ensuring site safety standards are met.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with foremen and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on your feet.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of common construction tools and safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots).
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
