Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and grading the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (under supervision) to assist with building tasks.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist Craftsmen: Provide direct support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople as required.
- Measurements: Measure, cut, and handle various materials (wood, drywall, concrete) accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for long hours, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on concrete for extended periods.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to various job sites in the Houston area.
- Work Ethic: Motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and work in the construction industry.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor or general labor is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
