Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, obstacles, and hazardous materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, masons, and electricians by holding materials, digging trenches, or performing basic assembly tasks.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and construction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic blueprints and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Demolition: Assist in controlled demolition and renovation tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of general construction labor experience preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- OSHA 10: OSHA 10 General Construction Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and a history of punctual attendance.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of skilled tradespeople.
