The Role:
As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with skilled tradespeople and project managers to execute daily tasks on-site.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Assistance: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople with daily tasks and assembly.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers, generators) under direct supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and following safety protocols.
- Site Prep: Perform site preparation tasks, including excavation, digging, and leveling ground.
- Support Activities: Perform general labor tasks as assigned by site supervisors to support project timelines.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Safety Conscious: Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to following safety protocols.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance with a strong work ethic and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Experience: Prior construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
