Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (wood, concrete, steel) to and from the site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including mixing concrete, sweeping, cleaning, and assisting skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters).
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as jackhammers, power saws, and forklifts under supervision.
- Site Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and reporting hazards immediately.
- Demolition: Assist in the demolition of structures and removal of waste materials.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: On-the-job training provided for motivated individuals.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work full-time hours as scheduled.
- Teamwork: Must be a willing team player who communicates effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Tools: Willingness to provide personal safety gear (steel-toed boots, hard hat, gloves) if not provided by company.
