Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare job sites, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for construction activities.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled laborers as needed.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery, including jackhammers, saws, and drills, under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Site Cleanup: Perform routine cleanup duties, including debris removal and waste disposal, at the end of each shift.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic construction drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to safety standards.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills in English.
