What You'll Do
As a Weekend Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our clients' electrical systems. You will work under the supervision of experienced journeymen while developing your own skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on residential and commercial properties.
- Install, repair, and replace lighting fixtures, outlets, and basic wiring components.
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (OSHA standards).
- Use handheld diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults and safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: None required. Must be willing to learn and complete apprenticeship-style training.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required.
- Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and calculations; strong problem-solving abilities.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and some weekdays for training.
