Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties on job sites including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to designated areas.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts, jackhammers) under strict supervision.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) with daily tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and project plans to understand project scope.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of debris to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
- Perform basic site preparation tasks, including excavation, grading, and concrete pouring assistance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and machinery.
- Previous experience in general labor or construction is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
