Responsibilities
- Operate power tools and construction equipment, such as jackhammers, saws, and drills.
- Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Prepare and clean work areas, removing debris, dirt, and obstacles.
- Dig trenches, holes, or foundations for foundations, footings, or utilities.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks such as mixing concrete, framing, or installing drywall.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Read blueprints and follow detailed instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing for long periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and practices is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are highly desirable.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible with schedule changes.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
