Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, equipment operation, and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Read basic blueprints and follow supervisor instructions accurately
- Participate in concrete work, demolition, and framing tasks as needed
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- Physical ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat/cold)
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicago
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (provided by employer)
