Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to job sites efficiently.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction machinery (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Assistance: Help skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians) with various tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills in the construction field.
- Attention to Detail: Basic ability to follow instructions precisely to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
