Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing work areas by clearing debris, digging trenches, and ensuring the site is clean and safe for operations.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction machinery and tools (under direct supervision) such as forklifts, concrete mixers, and generators.
- General Labor Support: Perform manual tasks including mixing concrete, cleaning surfaces, and assisting skilled tradesmen (electricians, plumbers, framers) with their daily duties.
- Quality Assurance: Help maintain high standards of workmanship by following blueprints and reporting any safety hazards or structural issues to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school coursework is a plus.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required; we are looking for eager learners who are ready to work.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and climbing on ladders.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Attitude: A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and punctuality.
