Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare work areas by cleaning debris, marking areas, and setting up temporary structures like scaffolding.
- Equipment Assistance: Operate basic construction tools and equipment (such as forklifts, skid steers, and power washers) under supervision.
- Assisting Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and masons with various tasks as needed throughout the project.
- Mixing & Pouring: Mix concrete, sand, and cement for foundations, sidewalks, and other structures.
- General Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Documentation: Assist in daily reporting of work progress and material usage.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Legal Status: Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills quickly.
- Adaptability: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on weekends if required.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
