Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites in Oakland and surrounding areas.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and jackhammers, under supervision.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards or defects before they become issues.
- Documentation: Complete daily time sheets and safety logs accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Experience: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training for the right candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Communication: Basic ability to read and understand site plans and safety manuals.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
