Responsibilities
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily site tasks.
- Operate power tools, forklifts, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers.
- Transport materials between the storage yard and the work area.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from site supervisors and project managers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Valid Driver’s License is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for measuring and material estimation.
