Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas prior to the arrival of heavy machinery.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with basic tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by disposing of debris and maintaining tools.
- Measurement & Marking: Use tape measures, levels, and squares to measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Site Cleanup: Perform daily site clean-up to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on uneven surfaces.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new skills and grow within the construction industry.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work well in a team-based environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; valid Driver’s License required.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
