Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials to and from the job site.
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment safely and correctly under supervision.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks, including framing, drywall installation, and site preparation.
- Ensure the work site is clean, organized, and free of debris to maintain safety standards.
- Read and understand basic blueprints, diagrams, and safety instructions.
- Load and unload trucks and materials efficiently, verifying quantities and quality.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but experience is more important than education.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
