Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Site Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Site Preparation: Assist in excavation, digging, grading, and preparing surfaces for construction.
- General Assistance: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled laborers as directed by the supervisor.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic power tools and hand tools under supervision.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with site leads and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Work History: A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are required; prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including potential weekends and overtime.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from various job sites in the Portland area.
- Documentation: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
