Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, with daily tasks and project execution.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare construction sites by digging, leveling, and clearing debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and concrete mixers, in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow all project blueprints, diagrams, and safety regulations (OSHA) to ensure compliance.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintenance after work is completed each day.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and site managers regarding project progress and any safety concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings or blueprints.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
