Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment at job sites in an organized and efficient manner.
- Site Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, excavating, and leveling ground as directed by the site supervisor.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery safely and correctly under supervision.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradesmen, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with site managers and team members to understand project requirements and updates.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is a plus but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and push heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials; strong willingness to learn new skills.
