Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and marking hazards
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, equipment operation, and task completion
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery including jackhammers, saws, and forklifts
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Perform site cleanup and waste management procedures daily
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction site experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
