Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing and preparing construction sites, including debris removal and rough grading.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials (wood, concrete, steel) safely and efficiently.
- Operational Support: Operate hand and power tools under supervision; mix concrete and prepare surfaces for finishing.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall hanging, or painting preparation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Illinois Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
