Apex General Contractors is expanding our operations and is currently seeking dedicated Construction Laborers for full-time opportunities in Kansas City, MO and North Carolina. Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from job sites efficiently using hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground according to blueprints.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction machinery such as skid steers, concrete mixers, and jackhammers under the direct supervision of a foreman.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe environment for all crew members and visitors.
- Cleanup & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, removing waste, and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Trade Assistance: Provide hands-on support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, masons, and electricians, as directed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, or related fields is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing or walking on uneven terrain.
- Driver’s License: A valid state-issued driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and team leaders.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and available for full-time shifts, including weekends if necessary.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and the willingness to use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
