Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment safely
- Assist skilled trades with carpentry, concrete work, and structural installations
- Maintain job site safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Read blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Load/unload materials and transport equipment as needed
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Valid California driver's license required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Oakland
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening required
