Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety standards
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, saws) and power equipment under supervision
- Support concrete work, framing, and finishing tasks as assigned by site supervisors
- Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard prevention protocols
- Complete minor demolition and cleanup operations between construction phases
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided!
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Wake County
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
