Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, dirt, and other materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist Tradespeople: Support electricians, carpenters, and plumbers by performing basic tasks and holding materials as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate handheld power tools and light machinery safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring and marking locations for cutting and assembly.
- Formwork: Help set up and dismantle forms for concrete pouring.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a construction laborer or general helper is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Safety Training: Familiarity with basic safety protocols (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and dependable team player attitude.
- Tools: Basic hand tool knowledge is a plus.
