Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of job sites, including clearing debris, digging, and grading.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Equipment Support: Operate and maintain basic tools and machinery under supervision (e.g., jackhammers, concrete mixers).
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and safety standards.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assistance: Support journeyman tradespeople with various tasks including framing, drywall hanging, or painting as needed.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Experience: Prior construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Tools: Basic hand tools are a plus; we provide the rest.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
