Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, concrete pouring, and structural assembly
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions for precise task execution
- Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks
- Perform equipment maintenance checks and report safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime/weekends
