Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with project setup and cleanup
- Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery under supervision
- Transport materials to designated work areas using carts or vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Indianapolis metro
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
