Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery safely
- Perform demolition, debris removal, and cleanup tasks
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions precisely
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, etc.)
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with concrete, rebar, or scaffolding a plus
