Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision to help complete tasks efficiently.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic site plans and follow verbal and written instructions from foremen.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) and standing on uneven terrain.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including early mornings, weekends, and potential overtime.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required for site transportation.
- Experience: Prior construction or labor experience is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Safety Conscious: A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
