Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation, including clearing debris, loading materials, and unloading supplies efficiently.
- Machinery & Tools: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under the supervision of foremen.
- Material Handling: Transport, organize, and store construction materials to maintain a safe and organized job site.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Trade Support: Provide direct assistance to carpenters, framers, and other skilled trades as needed.
- Site Maintenance: Perform daily cleanup duties, including sweeping, trash removal, and equipment inspection.
- Blueprint Basics: Interpret basic drawings and follow verbal instructions from supervisors regarding project tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a strong plus.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Demonstrated history of punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including overtime and weekends as project demands require.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
