Responsibilities
- Perform general site preparation including excavation, trenching, and debris removal
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, equipment operation, and tool management
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery safely and efficiently
- Participate in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour certification (provided)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for absenteeism
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily on uneven terrain
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
