Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, cleanup, and equipment operation
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Operate machinery like forklifts, jackhammers, and earth-moving equipment (training provided)
- Load/unload construction materials and organize job site inventory
- Collaborate with crew members to meet daily project milestones
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours daily
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
