Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various construction tasks.
- Load, unload, and stack building materials (wood, steel, concrete) using hand trucks and forklifts.
- Dig trenches, foundations, and footings to specified depths.
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment (saws, drills) under supervision.
- Clean and prepare job sites daily, including removing debris and hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and site protocols strictly to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform minor site cleanup and maintenance as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
