Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging, grading, and clearing debris to ensure a safe work environment.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely under the supervision of foremen or senior tradespeople.
- Support Trades: Provide labor support to carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed to ensure project timelines are met.
- Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks on work areas and report any safety hazards or material defects immediately.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site in accordance with OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general labor, or landscaping is preferred but not required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) is a plus.
- Safety: Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
