Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and organize them for efficient use.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools under supervision, such as forklifts, skid steers, and power drills.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, trash removal, and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians) with various tasks as needed to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: A strong track record of attendance and punctuality.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Work Ethic: A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills quickly.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not strictly required for entry-level positions.
