Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic power tools and equipment under supervision to aid in building and renovation tasks.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by sweeping, raking, and disposing of waste materials.
- Assisting Trades: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by fetching tools and materials as needed.
- Adherence to Safety: Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license preferred (not always required for entry-level labor).
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
