Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding.
- Machinery Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools under supervision to ensure efficient workflow.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, ensuring inventory is accessible for the crew.
- Skilled Trade Support: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by preparing tools and materials as needed.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Quality Control: Perform routine checks on work areas to ensure high standards of construction quality.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction or skilled trades support.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for site travel.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with common construction tools (hammers, drills, levels) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- OSHA 10: OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and a team player.
