Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing and preparing construction sites for projects, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment under supervision and assist with heavy machinery operations.
- General Labor: Perform various tasks including digging, tarring, painting, and cleaning debris from job sites.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with foremen and other crew members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a construction laborer, general laborer, or in the trades is preferred but not required.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license and Social Security card for I-9 verification.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the crew.
