Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Assisting Trades: Provide support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely, including saws, drills, and levels.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing waste and debris.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing on uneven terrain.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended hours.
- Tools: Basic understanding of hand tools and construction safety protocols.
- Availability: Must be available for immediate start and work full-time hours (40 hours/week).
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members on-site.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
