Responsibilities
- Operate Construction Equipment: Safely handle and operate power tools, jackhammers, and other heavy machinery as trained.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Clear debris, dig trenches, and prepare building sites according to blueprints and safety codes.
- Assist Skilled Trades: Provide support to electricians, plumbers, and carpenters as needed to ensure project flow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50+ pounds on a frequent basis.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and potential overtime.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
